Aren’t we all just fine
the building blocks in which we reside
we lie
just to feel a tiny bit alive
we conquer & divide
It’s been a long time since I cried
pride it works wonders
tough it out they say
we remain distant
while we think we’re close
show up
work hard
think less of yourself
more of others
like somehow we will discover
the answer to life
we question everything
trust no one
somehow arrive at the conclusion
It’s not me
It’s them
we sink deeper into self
winds pick up
we get thrown
into another unknown
instead of asking for help
we double down & become victims of self
we walk around thinking we’re healed
as we inflict pain on others
it doesn’t take long to discover
from the outside in
nobody wins
deal with your shit or it will hold you hostage
Aren’t you exhausted
one day I hope you open your eyes
the first thing that comes to mind
where have I been all my life?
It’s never too late
that peace has been inside you all along
you just had to be strung along
now you are in the place you belong
